The "N" Word Controversy: Michael Eric Dyson's Stance

Black Spokesman/Intellectual Michael Eric Dyson eloquently articulates his stance on the "N" word: The NAACP's burial of the word in Detroit, it's place in Hip Hop, and other miscellaneous jewels of wisdom. Try to digest all this juicy material and run it back if you can, have ya dictionary on ya side cuz it's been a while since you took the SAT. .. Speak on it.

On the flip side, ya boi Bill Cosby speaks on his disgust with the usage of the word and the effect it has on our youth. Amazing how polarized the talented tenth of our community are when it comes to this issue.

Who raised better points, cuz I know you're feelin one more than the other..u be the judge. Take a stance.

Making Popular Culture Positive

Here at Esface, we have been talking about creating an online community to facilitate the discussion of positive culture ever since we launched the new ESFACE.com in May 2007. Our goal for the Esface Blogs is to create an environment for users to easily participate in meaningful discussion about any important issue that relates to popular culture.

"Speak Up, Speak Out" is our answer to connecting Esface consumers and supporters to the Esface staff and employees. Everyday members of the "Esface Blog Squad" will post interesting topics, share new designs, or just update you on an issue, event, or project. BE MOVED to post your thoughts in the comment area or suggest a new topic to us. If you would like to create your own posts and share your designs, photos and videos you can also join the “Esface Blog Squad” for free! See the "How To..." panel on the side for more details.

By posting our thoughts and sharing our ideas, we hope to paint a picture of popular culture and gain key insights for our growing business. The interactions and dialogues that take place on this space will help us build better products and create more relevant projects – all of which will help Esface continue to impact popular culture in our communities.
